好像没人发这个，大家都还好吗？


昨天失联后发工单问，只说有点问题在尽力恢复，今天发现还是失联，感觉不太妙，因为之前顶多是偶尔网络不稳定，机器很少直接完全失联，所以问了一下是出了什么问题，结果很不幸，说是节点烧了，很可能数据也要丢 ^-^

Unfortunately, the node suffered a major hardware failure and, according to our datacenter team, there was significant smoke coming from the server. The node is now considered a fire hazard and cannot be kept in the rack.



We are currently working with our supplier to source a replacement node with the same specifications. However, this will take some time. Our colocation provider's technician has advised that it is very likely that other components in the server may also have been damaged. We will still do everything possible to recover the hardware and data.



If you have your own backups, we can provision a new server for you on another node, subject to available resources. If you do not have backups, unfortunately, we will need to wait for the new hardware before we can properly assess the damaged components and attempt data recovery, if recovery is possible.



At this stage, we are evaluating the safest and most practical way to inspect the hardware and recover the data. We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.



We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this situation.

    昨天我发工单说是有2根64G的内存坏了！！！

    It seems some motherboard component (VRM?) caught fire and the server needed to be deracked by staff at the datacenter. They are not certain whether the data can be recovered yet as the full extent of the damage has not been assessed yet.


    from their Discord:


    We’re aware of the node downtime in Singapore, unfortunately the node blew up, and there was quite alot of smoke accordingly to RH. This node is now considered fire hazard and cannot be kept in rack.


    We’re working with supplier to source new node of same spec. However it will take sometime. According to our upstream tech, it is very likely that other components in the server is also dead in this case. However we will still try to recover whatever is possible.


    If you have backups, please open a ticket and our team will restore your vps on different node. If you dont, sadly we will have to wait for new hardware to try any kind of recovery if possible at all.


    At this point, we are still planning on best way possible to check components and recover the data. We will update here once we have more news on this case.
