Starting August 19, 2026, we're changing when you're charged for additional paid seats in your ChatGPT Business workspace.

Today, charges for added seats appear on your next bill. Instead, we’ll charge you immediately when a paid seat is added. You'll pay only for the remaining time in your current billing period, and the charge will be applied to your workspace's payment method on file.

You'll still pay the same amount overall—we're only changing when you're charged for additional seats.

What’s changing

When you add a paid seat to your workspace, we'll charge you at that time.

You'll pay only for the remaining time in your current billing period.

Beginning with your next billing cycle, those seats will be included in your regular subscription charges.

No action is required. All other billing and payment terms for your ChatGPT Business subscription remain unchanged.
