We hope this e-mail finds you well.

This e-mail is a relevant announcement regarding a dedicated server where you have at least 1 VPS service, Zeta.5 New Jersey, in the USA.

Much has changed in 1 year

When we started to provide this server, in September 2025, we had high hopes for the demand. After all, it was a premium server, with a best-in-class 7950X3D CPU, more DDR5 RAM than usual, and a mix between fast NVMe and fast HDD space, all while providing 10 Gbps of connectivity on a new area in the US. It was our first step into the North America region, C-Servers having until then provided servers only in Europe.

However, several factors have let us down over this last year:

• demand for the server was consistently sub-par, even with promotional pricing, as the servers offerred at this location was more expensive than the average servers we offerred and these had higher mind presence when a potential buyer came in;


• performance-wise, the expected leverage of the very fast cores of AMD Ryzen 7950X3D was unfortunately not enough in practice to offset the fact that the system has only 16 cores and 32 threads, leading to less-than-projected performance metrics that also were subpar to our expectations and general benchmarking;


• disk-wise, as some users have noticed, there were punctual issues with the NVMe disk speeds, the HDD disk speeds, and a variable level of service that does not belong on the type of service we want to offer our customers, which we desire to be significantly more stable;


• network-wise, the usage of the 10 Gbps line has been also very much sub-par, with hardly 400 Mbps aggregate used out of the 10 Gbps line, when we had projected a 1 Gbps usage on 10 Gbps (330TB per way).


• geopolitical conditions have worsened for European operators and customers, with some customers communicating to us that they decided not to keep services at this server, due to such concerns (which affected, most especially, the JumboDisk offers);


• market conditions have significantly degraded for DDR5-based hardware over the past 9 months, including increases that compound by themselves on already quite expensive paid hardware at this location, all while plans attempting to improve demand for the server brought the on-paper price-to-performance ratio down without being entirely compensated by demand at the location past those promotional periods, and ultimately bringing the server to a long-term low profit and a month-on-month loss - the only server we have like this, and the worst performing by far on our fleet. This fact would degrade further DDR5 offerings as well as pose unreasonable pricing expectations towards new and existing customers.


• over the last 3 months, several reports brought to us of punctual instability on the server creating kernel panics, VM disparities between technologies, and similar issues alike.

As such, and considering the present terms on which the New Jersey offerings and the market conditions occur, but also the user feedback and performance complaints for this server, we regret to say that the Zeta.5 New Jersey will be discontinued from 13-08-2026, ceasing to provide service after this deadline,.

We will provide a pro-rata refund to the account credit for all existing users past our 60-Day Money Back Guarantee, which you'll then be able to use in full on any other C-Servers products and services, including to pay for VPS services at existing or new locations, in order to continue to have an active service. For users within our guarantee, these will be able to request a refund either to account credit or to the correspondent payment medium.

This decision affects 14.1% of our installed userbase.

Texas VPS services will continue to be provided and are not affected. This announcement is valid only for New Jersey VPS services in the United States of America.
