I recently built EditTextInImage, a small web tool for changing text in a finished image.

I kept running into the same problem: I had a PNG, JPG, or screenshot, but no longer had the original design file. Fixing a date, price, heading, or product label in Photoshop meant finding a similar font and manually repairing the background and perspective. It was too much work for a small text change.
With EditTextInImage, you upload an image, enter the original text and its replacement, then generate an edited version. If the same words appear more than once, you can select the exact area you want to change. The tool tries to preserve the existing font, color, background, layout, and perspective. You can compare the result with the original before downloading it.
Some practical use cases:
- Updating text in posters, product photos, and social media graphics
- Editing words inside app or website screenshots
- Changing dates, prices, labels, or text on signs
- Translating text in an image while keeping the original layout
AI image editing is not perfect. Decorative lettering, very small text, or a busy background may take another attempt. Editing one region at a time usually gives me a more reliable result.
