Important Network Update – IPv4 Address Replacement
We are contacting you regarding a network issue that has affected a limited number of our VPS services today.
The following IPv4 subnets currently used within our network are provided to us through an external IP leasing provider:
Unfortunately, the underlying provider of these address ranges has decided not to continue making them available, requiring us to withdraw these subnets from our network. This situation was outside of our direct control and occurred with very limited notice.
During the transition, the affected subnets were not completely unreachable worldwide, but customers may have experienced partial connectivity issues from certain countries, ISPs, or networks due to inconsistent routing and route propagation.
What happens now?
We have automatically replaced the affected IPv4 address on your service with an address from a different, healthy subnet. No action is required from you to request the replacement.
Your VPS, operating system, disk, files, configurations, and installed software remain unchanged. Only the public IPv4 address has changed, and the new address is also shown in your control panel.
If your server was configured with a static IP address, it needs the new address written into its network configuration before it is reachable again. If it obtains its address automatically, a reboot is enough.
If you currently use the affected IPv4 address in external services, please remember to update any relevant:
• DNS records
• Firewall rules or IP allowlists
• Monitoring systems
• VPN configurations
• Third-party integrations pointing directly to the old IPv4 address
Service credit
We sincerely apologize for the disruption caused by this situation. All customers affected by this replacement automatically receive 2 additional days of service as compensation. No ticket or request is required.
Our team is handling the IPv4 replacements automatically and is working to complete the transition as smoothly as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
DeluxHost
